April 11 Community Garden Meeting
On April 11 1at 10:00 am a meeting will take place at the Bannerman community league if you would like a garden plot for the 2026 season. Meet other gardeners and sign up for a plot
April 15 Annual General Meeting
The annual general meeting will be held in the hall April 15 at 7:00 pm. Come out, meet the executive, hear what is being planned for the community League and become involved.
April 24,25 Community Clothing Swap
Bethel Community Church is hosting clothing donations on April 24th between 8am-8pm. On April 25th, revieve some new-to-you items at no cost from 1-4pm
Sunday May 10th Mother’s Day Tea
We are having our annual Mother’s Day Tea party in the hall on May 10th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. For tickets ($5(email Maureen at MaureenBannerman26@gmail.com.
We are calling for volunteers/bakers in the neighbourhood who would like to bake scones for the event.
Casino Night

Rink Closed
The rink is now closed for the season as the spring melt is on us
Tai Chi Cancelled
Tai Chi is no longer being offered as Doug has moved from the community. Best wishes to Doug and thanks for the Tai Chi lessons
Eco Station Free sand for ice
During the winter residents can collect up to 100l of sand for free at the Kennedale Eco Station, bring your own containers. The community league would appreciate if you are getting sand to get an extra bucket of sand and place in the green box on the community hall.
Cribbage
Every second Friday at 7pm there is a fun cribbage tournament held in the Bannerman hall. The dates are marked on the Newsletter so please go the the News Letter page for them. Come out and enjoy cards with your friend and neighbours
Walking Group
Walking Group that you can be a part of. They walk Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 – 9:30am. The meet up point is at the top of the stairs on 20 street. They walk all winter.
